em | connect and em | asset keeper (BLE): The App is specifically designed to detect and connect to BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) devices, particularly beacons developed by our client company. These beacons are used for asset tracking / configuration purposes. The App does not collect, store, or share any personal data and operates without internet connectivity.

em | echo (NFC): The app is designed to configure the EM4425 NFC tags supported for different versions. The app uses mobile NFC for communicating and configuring the tags. The App does not collect, store, or share any personal data and operates without internet connectivity.

2. Data We Handle

BLE Scanning: The App detects BLE signals within range to identify and connect to specific beacons. This process does not involve collecting personal data or storing device information.

No Data Collection: The App does not collect, store, or process any user information, location data, or BLE device details beyond what is necessary for connecting to the client's beacon. NFC Communication: The app uses mobile NFC to configure the EM4425 tags only based on the values entered on the UI. There is no other purpose defined in this app nor any data collected by any means on the UI.

3. Purpose of BLE Scanning

The BLE scanning functionality is solely intended for the following purposes:

  • Connecting to and configuring our client company's beacons.
  • Optimizing and tuning the beacons for asset tracking purposes.

4. No Internet Connectivity

The App does not connect to the internet or transmit any data to external servers. All functionalities are performed locally on the user's device.

5. How We Protect Your Data

Since the App does not collect or store any user data, no special measures are required to protect data. However, we ensure that the App adheres to industry standards for BLE / NFC communication.

6. Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that could collect user information.

7. User Permissions

The App may request the following permissions to function properly:

  • Bluetooth Access: Required for scanning and connecting to BLE devices.
  • Location Access: Certain operating systems may require location permissions to enable BLE scanning. However, the App does not collect or use location data.
  • Camera Access: The app requires camera access permission while using the app to scan QR codes. The QR code is used to scan and identify the devices using their MAC address encoded in the QR code present on BLE beacon devices provided by our client. No personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, phone number, or location is collected, stored, or linked to this QR code and is not shared anywhere by any means.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. User Rights

Since the App does not collect user data, there are no specific user rights regarding data access, modification, or deletion.
